Rules are important

Most roleplayers have rules.

Most roleplayers have a rules page.
They work hard on writing up these rules for people to read. They work hard to make sure their blog is as safe and comfortable for them as possible. They work hard to make sure everyone knows what to expect and what they expect, before interacting. Roleplayers don’t write rules for fun.
Roleplayers write rules for a reason, so read those rules and respect them.
If someone tells you that you broke a rule, if someone doesn’t want to interact with you because of that, respect them.
If someone’s rules mean they won’t interact with you, respect that and don’t try to force an interaction.
If you know something is against someone’s rules, respect that.
People have rules for a reason. Respect everyone’s rules.
