Can we all just acknowledge that there’s a problem with tumblr shitting all over stuff when it is at least trying? Like, can we stop saying stuff is trash because it doesn’t go far enough for us? I feel like whenever something more progressive comes out and tumblr just rips it to shreds that it doesn’t encourage other creators to make more inclusive things. The message it sends is that they shouldn’t even try at all because people will start calling them pieces of shit when they put in so much effort to try and make people that aren’t often represented a part of their story. Yes, you can have criticisms, but there is a big difference between critiquing and then going “this game is trash and no one should buy it, just download it illegally so you don’t support it”.
