If you haven’t heard, EA just fired most of The Sims team and silently killed the franchise (what was left after the closure of The Sims Studio at least) and moved the remaining team to the mobile division. This means that there probably won’t really be anymore Sims games for PC or Console other than maybe a few stuff/expansions for TS4. (and I have a strong impression that The Sims Mobile won’t last very long either.)
It seems like they’re trying to pass off what’s happening as just some layoffs for budget reasons and down play what’s happening.
I’ll post more as I hear more. If anyone knows anything let me know.

i hope everyone laid off can find work in a place that respects them and treats them fairly. (still waiting for the games industry to die in a fire, though!)
