the FCC is trying (again) to put an end to net neutrality. This will mean profit for a lot of big websites and companies like your cable or ISP, and general shittiness for everyone else. It’s not a complicated issue. It’s a shady deal that needs to be stopped.
IF NET NEUTRALITY DIES:
YOUR ISPS AND CABLE COMPANIES WILL DECIDE HOW WELL YOUR INTERNET WORKS.
YOU WILL BE CHARGED MORE FOR USING CERTAIN WEBSITES.
YOU WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO CERTAIN WEBSITES.
YOU WILL HAVE SLOW AND SHITTY CONNECTIONS TO CERTAIN WEBSITES.
Guys we’re being presented with an opportunity to have Ajit Pai FIRED from his position which someone as corrupt and untrustworthy as him has no right to continue holding! SPREAD THE WORD!!!
#FireAjitPai
#FireAjitSavetheNet
Also if anybody could figure out exactly where his law credentials came from so we can maybe get him disbarred from practicing law (like Jock Thompson, remember that guy?) now would be a great time.
Putting it here cuz I’d like to start the new year with decent internet.
Recently I’ve seen so much coverage for this go down after the FCC passed it’s resolution to roll back net neutrality protections, but here’s your daily reminder that the fight is NOT OVER. This bill still has to go through Congress, and Congress represents the people. Keep calling (best number is 202-224-3121), keep fighting. Don’t let your rights be stripped away without even trying to hold onto them. Tell your reps you support net neutrality before you can’t anymore.
