To my American followers:
Even after today’s events, I’m proud of you. You stood up and YOU WERE LOUD! Almost 83% of you took a stand.
I know it’s easy to feel hopeless, especially when all this effort was put out. Just know there is still time and hope. Congress, unlike the FCC is elected by us. We have the power to threaten their job if they don’t block it. And by the sound of it, there are a few that are afraid and listening.
Continue to support each other.
Continue to let your voices be heard.
We the people will not be defeated that easily.

REMINDER
Tumblr has spread a bunch of misinformation about what losing Net Neutrality actually brings.
You’re not going to get blocked from Tumblr. You’re not going to lose your internet as you know it today. Nothing HAPPENS yet.
If CONGRESS approves the repeal (which will be held on a separate court date, NO action will be taken until then) tumblr may become slowed down for you. That all depends on what tumblr itself is willing to pay. You still have access; it just may become limited.
It’s still something you need to push against and be aware of, but there’s no need to hand out phone numbers just yet. Call your representative, let them know you support Net Neutrality, and keep an eye on the court date.
That’s right, the fight isn’t over.
Text BATTLE to 384-387 to contact Congress and STOP the FCC.
This is a recommendation. We still can stop this with pressure on Congress.
ISPs don’t own the internet. They should not be given power to censor or influence content.
The internet is a utility. We change creativity and innovation when we put corporations and conservatives in charge.
The FCC just voted to repeal #NetNeutrality
- Let’s see the teen suicide rates skyrocket
- Let’s see the mountain of lawsuits heading towards the FCC
- Let’s see the riots and protests
- Let’s see people with mental disorders and illnesses lose their shit
- Let’s see the LGBT+ community panicking about not being able to talk or see others that accept them
- Let’s see Youtubers realizing they just lost most of their subscribers
All because the FCC Chairman decided to go rouge and ignore the very public it serves.
This means war. Sue the FCC. Protest in the streets. Email and call Congress to act.
We still have a fighting chance. Don’t give up!
THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER TEXT ‘BATTLE’ TO 384-387!!!!!!!!!!!
*The FCC votes for the Net Neutrality repeal*
Y’all: It’s been a good run, BYE!
Me: STOP RIGHT THERE!
Me: *bangs pots and pans together*
DON’T GIVE UP YET! THE FIGHT ISN’T OVER, IT STILL HAS TO GO THROUGH COURT! CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES!!!
It’s not over! CALL YOUR CONGRESSPEOPLE!!
CALM DOWN ABOUT NET NEUTRALITY.
Don’t worry. They still have to go to court.
But guess what? There’s something you didn’t know about the vote.
Get this: the vote was basically illegal.
You heard me right. Eric Schneiderman, American lawyer, said in Twitter: “I will sue to stop the FCC’s illegal rollback of #netneutrality. New Yorkers and all Americans deserve a free and open internet.”
Not only do we have another ally, but now we know that the vote wasn’t supposed to happen.
We’ve got this. Now the REAL FIGHT starts now.
