nowitsevenhotter:

How’s it going guys? I’ve been playing odyssey for the past few weeks and I just beat it 100% yesterday. This game is really really fun and amazing.

I will still post things here, but I guess I’m going to be stuck on my game twitter @ark_Odyssey for awhile. Welcome if you are interested in my gameplay diary.

Nintendo is Releasing an Edible Amiibo

This image of a Super Mario Odyssey inspired cereal box has been circulating the internet for a few days, with many assuming it was just a fan’s photoshop project, but Kellogg’s has confirmed on Twitter that the image came from the company.

This box art is not yet finalized, but it appears to be similar to Lucky Charms, with the traditional shapes now changed to question blocks and red and green mushrooms. The box states that it contains a special Amiibo to be used in Super Mario Odyssey, possibly to unlock exclusive content. It is my assumption that the Amiibo will be in the form of a card inside of the box, similarly to Animal Crossing Amiibo cards.

Kellogg’s announced the product was in fact real and stated it is “hitting store shelves now” so it might already be available at your local grocery store. One potential problem is that this cereal is releasing at a time when Loot Crate controversies are causing a certain game company to receive a ton of bad press. The fact that a cereal aimed at children promises power-ups in a video game may be spun into part of that narrative by certain news outlets. Nevertheless, this may be the biggest thing to happen to video games in cereal since Chex Quest.
