One notable absentee in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988) is Popeye. In the original storyboard however, he does appear, along with Bluto, during Marvin Acme’s funeral. He gets into a fight with, of all characters, Goofy. Gawrsh!
In the last panel, Casper the Friendly Ghost asks Foghorn Leghorn: “Will you be my friend?” Dick Tracy, Baby Huey, Daffy, Donald, and others look on.
(Also–note the crying Felix.)
Animation backgrounds (and one with the characters added: see how many you can spot) from Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). And look closely: almost everything has a face!
