Bear is far more chill than Nate about befriending yokai. Unlike Nate, Bear’s style is based more on sharing food with yokai rather than battling.
Instead of Jibanyan, Bear’s main “friend” is Blazion.
Bear still befriends Jibanyan, Jibanyan just lives more downstairs with Bear’s mom, and is less likely to be called.
Bear tells his parents. While they don’t fully believe him, they are supportive (especially since weird things keep happening around their house).
Bear easily makes friends with lower rank yokai through empathy and kindness.
Along with Whisper and Blazion, Bear is often seen with Tattletell, carrying her on his shoulder and helping her with her shopping.
Blazion is constantly found exercising on the roof outside Bear’s room.
Bear!! Starts trying harder in school, partially thanks to Blazion’s influence, and partially so he has more time to spend with his human and yokai friends.
Eddie doesn’t believe Whisper for a good few weeks, thinking he’s having hallucinations.
Eddie befriends Jibanyan, but is more likely to call on Robonyan.
Eddie likes studying Robonyan’s tech.
Eddie keeps detailed notes about all the yokai he meets: Favorite foods, weather, colors
After several failed attempts by Whisper to help, Eddie takes and upgrades Whisper’s Yo-Kai Pad so it’s easier to use.
Eddie befriends Mr. Goodsight, and on his free days when his friends are doing homework, he stops in and learns watch making and repair.
When summoning yokai to help, Eddie tends to lean towards the more academic yokai, like Nird.
Since his parents are both often working and he’s lonely when his friends are busy with chores, schoolwork, or being grounded; Eddie tends to form much more talkative friendships with his yokai.
As a result, Eddie tends to ignore his friendships with non-verbal yokai like Tattletell.
More likely to be sad than the main story or Bear AU.
Eddie tries a few times to use yokai to make his parents stay home more, but it ends up causing more conflict.
